Another year, another Paranormal Activity flick, because apparently we haven’t obtained enough of them. But can this sixth instalment convince, or is it another dumpster fire?

The Visit is a small-budget project directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan. It is an old-school fairy tale, filmed as a modern found-footage movie, and it makes use of many pop-cultural elements.

What do you get when you turn a police drama into a documentary-style action thrill-ride à la Cops, cast two relatively well-known Hollywood actors, and set the whole thing in L.A.? A pretty fantastic movie!
