Captain America: Brave New World Movie Review (Spoiler Free)
This is one of the most disappointing MCU entries. All the potential, none used in execution. Though not the worst film of the MCU, Brave New World tries to be too much, and fails as it tries to juggle three plots in one film. Character development is barely existent, introduced side stories lead into nothing, and the dialogue sounds like a blueprint of exposition. Most impressive was the camera work, giving the whole look a grimey 70s thriller feeling.

Wolf Man Movie Review (Spoiler Free)
Whannell’s second re-imagining of the studio’s classic monsters is disappointing. The story shows promise, yet never dives deep into the theme of family trauma and anxiety. The pacing is off, making it feel much longer than it is. Abbott gives a remarkable performance, though it is the young Matilda Firth who steals the show. The body horror, reminiscent of Cronenberg, is great, but the final make-up for the Werewolf looks terrible, and the lighting is too dim. I was expecti

Havoc Movie Review (Spoiler Free)
Though it isn’t a perfect action piece, Havoc is a refreshing take on its subgenre. The character-driven plot contrasts with the persistent rapid pacing. Though original, the use of standard topics hinders its uniqueness. The cinematography uses lively movement, paired with handheld shots, to create disorientating action scenes. Havoc is a fu

Death of a Unicorn Movie Review (Spoiler Free)
Scharfman's directorial debut can feel a little clunky at times. While the fantasy aspects mix well with the bloody horror and dark comedy. The story was too predictable. The satirical commentary is clever, though too on the nose. The cinematography is good, the colour palette vibrant, while the tone is dark, though balanced. The music mixes fantasy and horror well, sounding otherworldly. Death of a Unicorn earns is decent.

The Accountant 2 Movie Review (Spoiler Free)
While not as good as the first one, The Accountant 2 is still a solid sequel. Would I have wished for a few more puzzles to figure out? Sure, but the change in tone also made it unique, without feeling like a rehash of the 2016 one. The brotherly dynamic in the story was the best part, with Affleck and Bernthal having great chemistry. The humour was at times misplaced, but the jokes always landed. The action, while conventional, gave the whole plot a good sense of urgency.
